What “FALSE STATEMENT PROPERTY/CREDIT >=$2,500<$30K” means

Texas Penal Code § 32.32 defines false statement to obtain property or credit. The State must prove the accused intentionally or knowingly made a materially false or misleading written statement in order to obtain property or credit for the accused or another; "credit" includes loans and extensions of credit generally, including a mortgage loan. The statement must be in writing and the falsehood must be material — capable of affecting the decision to provide the property or credit. Grading follows the value of the property or the amount of the credit sought, using the same value ladder as the theft statute. This filing is the state jail felony bracket under § 32.32(c)(4), which applies when that value or amount is $2,500 or more but less than $30,000; higher and lower brackets are graded under the neighboring subdivisions of § 32.32(c).
