Arson Charges in Houston Furniture Store Fire
Back in May a storage warehouse at Gallery Furniture went up in flames. The fire occurred while people were inside and resulted in $15 million in damages. Soon after the fire, it was revealed that the blaze was intentionally set.

Drugs Offenses in Dallas TX Apartments Targeted
The city of Dallas, TX has put 31 apartment complexes on notice. They must clean up their act or pay a fine. This comes after the Police Department along with the city decided these 31 complexes were hot spots of crime that needed to cool off.
According to WFAA, things like better lighting, visibility, security fences, and community watch meetings can all improve the safety of a neighborhood. Drug Charges Dropped in TX After Polygraph Admitted
Polygraphs are designed to detect lies in people. They are often criticized for their accuracy and seldom are their results admitted into evidence without being challenged. In a recent drug case, however, the polygraph was unchallenged, the evidence from a search suppressed, and the charges eventually dropped.
As detailed in the Dallas News, Scarlett Haley took a polygraph test concerning the events of January 7th, 2008 when her home was searched and her boyfriend arrested. Haley passed the polygraph which indicated she was pressured into signing a search consent form for officers who didn’t have a search warrant. [Read more…]
